1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Lugvia's moving services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer") and Lugvia ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").
2. Services Description
Lugvia provides professional moving services including but not limited to:
- Local and long-distance moving
- Packing and unpacking services
- Storage solutions
- Specialty item handling
- Commercial moving services
All services are subject to availability and may vary based on location and specific requirements.
3. Booking and Scheduling
3.1 Reservations: All moving services must be booked in advance. Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of required deposit and signed agreement.
3.2 Estimates: Estimates are provided based on information supplied by the customer. Final charges may vary based on actual services provided and items moved.
3.3 Schedule Changes: Schedule changes must be requested at least 48 hours in advance. Changes within 48 hours may incur additional fees.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 Pricing: Prices are based on factors including distance, weight, time, and additional services requested.
4.2 Payment Terms: A deposit is required to secure your moving date. Final payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made.
4.3 Additional Charges: Additional charges may apply for services not included in the original estimate, including but not limited to:
- Long carry charges
- Stair charges
- Elevator fees
- Waiting time
- Storage fees
5. Liability and Insurance
5.1 Basic Coverage: We provide basic liability coverage as required by law. This coverage is limited and may not cover the full value of your items.
5.2 Full Value Protection: Additional insurance options are available for purchase to provide enhanced protection for your belongings.
5.3 Claim Procedures: All damage claims must be reported within 9 months of delivery. Claims must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation.
5.4 Limitations: We are not liable for damage to items packed by the customer or for normal wear and tear during transport.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate inventory and access information
- Being present or having an authorized representative present during pickup and delivery
- Ensuring clear access to both origin and destination
- Securing parking permits if required
- Removing personal and valuable items before packing
- Providing accurate contact information
7. Cancellation Policy
7.1 Customer Cancellation: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before scheduled move date will receive a full refund of deposit. Cancellations within 48 hours may forfeit deposit.
7.2 Company Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel services due to weather, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control. Full refund will be provided in such cases.
8. Prohibited Items
The following items cannot be transported:
- Hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, corrosive)
- Perishable food items
- Live plants and animals
- Personal documents and irreplaceable items
- Illegal substances
- Items prohibited by law
9. Dispute Resolution
9.1 Mediation: Any disputes will first be addressed through good faith negotiation and mediation.
9.2 Arbitration: If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.
9.3 Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of the state where services are provided.
10. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
