Getting Quotes
How do I get a moving quote?
You can get a free quote by filling out our online form on the homepage, calling us directly, or scheduling a virtual consultation. We'll need information about your current and new locations, moving date, and inventory of items.
Are quotes binding or non-binding?
We offer both binding and non-binding estimates. Binding estimates guarantee the price won't change, while non-binding estimates may vary based on actual weight and services. We'll explain the difference during your consultation.
What factors affect moving costs?
Moving costs depend on distance, weight/volume of items, time of year, additional services (packing, storage), accessibility of locations, and special handling requirements for fragile or valuable items.
Booking & Scheduling
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance, especially during peak moving season (May-September). For last-minute moves, we'll do our best to accommodate your schedule based on availability.
Can I change my moving date?
Yes, you can change your moving date subject to availability. We recommend notifying us as soon as possible. Changes made within 48 hours of the scheduled move may incur additional fees.
What if I need to cancel my move?
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled move are typically free. Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee. Please refer to your contract for specific terms.
Packing Tips
Should I pack myself or hire professionals?
It depends on your budget, time, and comfort level. Professional packing saves time and ensures proper protection, especially for fragile items. Self-packing is more economical but requires more time and effort.
What items should I not pack?
Don't pack hazardous materials (paint, propane, chemicals), perishable food, plants, important documents, jewelry, or items of sentimental value. Keep these with you during the move.
How should I pack fragile items?
Use plenty of bubble wrap or packing paper, pack items individually, fill empty spaces in boxes, mark boxes as "FRAGILE," and consider professional packing for valuable items.
